During the one-hour meeting, the internationally recognized certification system for NDT introduced by JPK since the mid-1980s was discussed. The discussion covered the acceptance by the industry and other countries in the region, upcoming proactive measures and the expectations of the Malaysian industry.
The meeting also discussed the developed National Occupational Skills Standard (NOSS) for the aerospace industry and the existence of the National Aerospace NDT Board (NANDTB). MSNT proposed steps for competent NDT personnel with Malaysian aerospace NDT certificates to be recognized by the regulator.
JPK also agreed to be one of the supporting organizations at the 7th MINDTCE scheduled for August 2024 and subsequently at the next MINDTCE and APCNDT in 2029. The MSNT believes that JPK’s participation in the event would enable visitors to discuss and seek advice on NDT training and certification directly.
